As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Western Technical College will be hosting an Apprenticeship Open House event on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Apprenticeship and Industry Training Center, 2860 21^st Place S., La Crosse.

The event will offer interested individuals the opportunity to learn more about Western’s Apprenticeship programs. The event will also offer tours of lab spaces and the ability meet with local apprenticeship employers, who can explain the benefits of apprenticeship careers. Those interested in part-time teaching opportunities are encouraged to attend as well.

“Apprenticeships continue to be a growing and popular option for students and employers,” said Tyler Ludeking, Apprenticeship Coordinator at Western. “Students can earn a wage while attending college classes. Several of these salaries reach $70,000-$80,000.”
