Basic Jailer Academy
Dates: March 29-April 30, 2021
Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

720 LE Academy Physical Readiness Assessment
The physical readiness entrance assessment will be offered on the following dates at Western’s Public Safety Training Center – Sparta:
- Tuesday, March 30, 2021 – 9:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, March 30, 2021 – 1:00 p.m.
- Saturday, April 24, 2021 – 9:30 a.m.
All police academy candidates and law enforcement recruits must complete and pass the police physical readiness test. The test must be completed at a DOJ certified law enforcement academy. This test will meet that standard. Candidates must be physically capable of running 1.5 miles, completing sit-ups, push-ups and various other tests of physical fitness. All candidates must complete a medical assessment prior to taking the physical readiness test. The medical assessment form must be completed and signed by a physician. Scenario Instructor Training
Dates: Wednesday-Thursday, March 31-April 1, 2021
Time: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Where: Western Public Safety Training Facility – Sparta Campus
Cost: $100.00 per person
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, March 24, 2021
This 16-hour course, taught by a Scenario Master Instructor Trainer, prepares instructor candidates for certification as an LESB Scenario Instructor. The course includes scenario training, testing and force-on-force safety and training techniques. Must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course before attending, OR be a currently-certified LESB instructor, and have 3 years full-time experience.
