LA CROSSE, Wis., June 18, 2024 – Officials with Western Technical College and Viterbo University have formally signed a transfer agreement for students in Western’s new IT-Data and Analytics Specialist program.
The agreement allows students in the program to transfer at least 47 core Data Analytics courses and 13 credits of general studies courses into Viterbo University’s new IT-Data Analytics program. This agreement essentially guarantees a 2+2 pathway, allowing students to transfer seamlessly into the program. Students must also meet the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) score of 2.25 and complete a minimum of 30 credits of upper-level coursework at Viterbo. The agreement takes effect immediately.
“The continued expansion of articulation agreements between Viterbo University and the Western Technical College is mutually beneficial, but it is the students who will prosper the most,” said Viterbo President Rick Trietley. “This is one more way to make a quality student-centered education as convenient and affordable as possible.”
“This is a huge win for our community,” said Western President Roger Stanford. “Both of these programs were launched in response to workforce demand. It is a big day for our region’s economy.”
