Western Technical College, Viterbo University Sign Engineering Pathway Agreement

LA CROSSE, Wis., April 27, 2018 – Officials at Western Technical College and Viterbo University today signed a formal agreement to provide a new engineering pathway program for students starting this fall.

Students enrolled in the pathway program will spend two years at Western, completing 64 credits, and enrolling in classes such as Basic Engineering Design, Sketching and AutoCAD, and Calculus. Following successful completion of classes at Western, students will transfer, with junior standing, into Viterbo’s new engineering bachelor’s degree program.

"Viterbo is very pleased to formalize this partnership with Western Technical College to provide an outstanding engineering program in the La Crosse region,” said Viterbo University President Glena Temple. "We have many successful partnerships and educational pathways with Western and this partnership signals our ongoing commitment to collaboration that benefits our students and the community.”

“In our local economy, engineering jobs are in high demand,” said Western President Roger Stanford, “This transfer agreement with Viterbo positions us to meet the needs of employers in the region and provide more opportunities for our students.”
