LA CROSSE, Wis., June 12, 2018 – Students in several programs at Western Technical College recently excelled at Wisconsin SkillsUSA competitions this past year.

At the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) competition in March, Jill Heiser, of Onalaska, received a gold medal and Ethan Holak, of Holmen, earned silver. At the Automotive Service Technology competition in April, Tyler Wilhelmson, of Onalaska, received a bronze medal.

Approximately 50 students attended the two competitions, which tested their knowledge and a variety of skills in each discipline.
