Western Technical College will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for a newly remodeled Medical Assistant classroom on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Western’s Tomah location, 120 East Milwaukee St.
The $65,000 remodeling project helps create classroom space for Western’s new Medical Assistant cohort, which launched last week. The project helped remodel the space for proper lab facilities and classroom instruction.
“Our healthcare providers from across the region, not just La Crosse, desperately need Medical Assistants,” said Roger Stanford, President of Western Technical College. “This project is meeting the needs of the Tomah region and will help get more students out in rural healthcare settings.”
