Have questions or concerns related to Western’s COVID-19 precautions and preventive measures? Contact Western's COVID-19 Monitoring Team:
In the Modified Medium Risk category of our Phased Return to Campus Plan, most services will continue with in-person operations. In addition to the resources found on this website, employees are encouraged to visit the COVID-19 Employee Resources Intranet site for important updates. You will need to log in to access this information.
Effective August 9, 2021, Western is requiring face coverings inside all buildings for all students, staff, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status. This comes from the latest guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), as well as local and state data, which recommends the use of face coverings where there is high or substantial community spread of COVID-19.
We recognize that getting vaccinated is the best defense against the spread of COVID-19. While the vaccination is not required at Western, we strongly encourage all students and co-workers who are able to be vaccinated to do so. Your participation could have a critical impact on our ability to continue offering in-person courses and services. Please note that a vaccine will not replace the need to continue other actions that stop the spread of COVID-19 such as the current masking requirement.
For more information on where to get vaccinated, visit the La Crosse County website or the website of your county of residence.
Western values the health and safety of our employees, and is committed to supporting you in this changing environment. Find out how to protect yourself from COVID-19.
