Scholarships For New Students

Students who are planning to enroll for the fall at Western Technical College in one of the 60+ programs and will be taking six or more credits.

Who Can Apply?

  • Any student who has been accepted into a program at Western.

When to Apply for Scholarships?

  • High School Seniors and/or new students planning to enroll, scholarship application deadline is May 1.
  • Must not be currently enrolled in core program classes.
  • One online application is all you need for each funding period. We will automatically consider you for all Foundation Scholarships that you are eligible for.

Useful Tips for Foundation Scholarships Applicants

  • Keep a copy of the application for your records.
  • Upon submission, applications become the property of the Foundation, and cannot be returned.
  • Use the checklist provided before submitting your application form. Make sure your application is complete.
  • All Applicants will be notified by mail approximately six to eight weeks from the scholarship deadline.
  • If you are a single parent under the age of twenty-four, you may be eligible for special "Fresh Start" scholarships to help with child care expenses.

Completing Your Scholarship Application

A signed hard copy of your application must be submitted to the Foundation Office, along with recommendations.
