AES Engineers Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria
Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to one of the two questions below:
1. What do you consider to be the single most important problem that is facing society today? Why?
2. Why are you a good candidate to receive this award?

There is no application packet for this award. Please do not include your resume at this time. Be sure to include your full name as well as the name of the school you are attending in 2007/8 and your plans for 2008/9.
American Legion Auxiliary—Roy L. Vingers Unit #52—Emma Brzazowske Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria
1.Applicant must be a daughter, son, wife, husband, widow, or widower of a veteran. Stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of veterans may also apply. Students may apply for scholarships regardless of the period of time that the veteran served without regard to the specific eligibility dates of the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.
2.Applicants must:
a) Be in need of financial help to continue education beyond high school.
b) Have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale basis.
c) Be a resident of the City of La Crosse, Town of Shelby, or Town of Campbell, or the child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a paid Unit #52 Auxiliary member.
3. School selected need not be in Wisconsin, but must be accredited.

Scholarship Criteria
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.
The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution.

Scholarship Criteria
1. Applicant, parent, or guardian of applicant must either be a Personal Member of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), or the Tube and Pipe Association, International (TPA), or be employed by a Company Member of the FMA or TPA at the time of application. Student Members are eligible to apply. (Employment of applicant or applicant's parent or guardian by an FMA Company Member must be verified. Requirement waived for student members)
2. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 (B) or above for college scholarships and 2.5 or above for trade/technical school scholarships. (Mid-term GPA, verified by a copy of the student's high school or college transcript, is acceptable.)
3. Student must plan to major in an engineering, trade school, or manufacturing-related program that may lead to a career in manufacturing.
4. Student must be accepted in an institution of higher learning (college/university/technical school for the fall semester as a full-time student).

Scholarship Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Must have successfully completed the first three terms (or the first semester) of an accredited PT/OT/SLP program.
2. Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (original copies of grades or transcripts must be submitted after each semester/term).
3. Must provide two letters of recommendation from individuals with familiarity of your skills and education experience.
4. Must be a US citizen, permanent resident or international student in lawful status.
5. Application must include all requisite components to be considered.

Scholarship Criteria

Wisconsin Troopers’ Association- Memorial Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Criteria
The applicant must apply for the scholarship between November 1st and December 15th of each year. Open to all Wisconsin residents enrolled in a two or four year degree program with a MAJOR in criminal justice, police science, or any law enforcement related field.
**The applicant must have earned at least 50% of the credits necessary to earn a degree in their law enforcement related field, prior to applying for this scholarship.
The Scholarship Selection Committee shall base its selection upon the following criteria: 70% scholastic aptitude (cumulative grade point average for the credits earned) and 30% essay. The applicant must submit a completed application form, a letter from their school verifying that they have 50% credits completed working towards a degree in a law enforcement related field, a copy of their transcripts that show their cumulative grade point average, and an essay of no more than 400 words that describes themselves, their future goals, and why a law enforcement career interests them. Recipients may receive only one scholarship award per year.
