LA CROSSE, Wis., August 17, 2023 – Officials with Western Technical College and Viterbo University have formally signed a transfer agreement for students in Western’s Accounting program.
The agreement allows students in the program to transfer at least 45 core accounting content courses and 15 credits of general studies courses into Viterbo’s Bachelor of Business Administration Accounting degree, with the ability to transfer a maximum of 90 credits for a 3+1 pathway. Students must also meet the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) score of 2.25 and complete 30 credits of upper-level coursework at Viterbo. The agreement extends to students in the entire Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) and takes effect this fall.
“The continued expansion of articulation agreements between Viterbo University and the Wisconsin Technical College System is mutually beneficial, but it is the students who will prosper the most,” said Viterbo President Rick Trietley. “This is one more way to make a quality student-centered education as convenient and affordable as possible.”
“Viterbo has always been a tremendous partner with Western,” said Western President Roger Stanford. “This transfer agreement allows so many accounting students the ability to continue their education at an affordable cost. This is a big day for our region’s economy.”
